I really don't get it!

What can I say? I can't be happier when I sell something amazing like an Hermes Kelly! Have not been lucky enough to get any Birkins yet, but I will look forward to that. I do get amazing things to sell. That is great! BUT I must say that as happy as I am to get certain things to sell - I just don't get it. The Hermes Kelly leather (just leather - not skins) sell for approximately $7500 and you're lucky to be able to get one! Yes, I believe you are put on a list - is that really possible? Now I love beautiful things and I know that these things are very expensive.

So one of my favorite gals gave me an orange Kelly to sell. I brought it into the city over Christmas to drop of at Hermes for a "spa treatment" :) They refurbish the bag for approximately $200 - worth every penny as the bag comes back looking like new - remember - this is an investment. Before I brought the bag into Hermes I will admit to you that I carried it for two days. Yes, I did tell my friend that I was using it.

The bag came back very quickly and it looked great.

So what is my opinion of this $7500 handbag?

The shoulder strap is too short - I like to carry a bag crossbody.
The closure is a pain in the neck! Unlike the Birkin you must close it or it will hang open unpleasantly.
It doesn't hold it's shape the way I think that it should.
I did love the color.
I was actually uncomfortable carrying a $7500 handbag and I carry very nice bags - CHANEL, PRADA, etc. - but a bag that costs $7500 - well, obviously not for me! Don't get me wrong - it's a beautiful bag and certainly a very sought after one. It sold for $4500 immediately - had two offers as soon as it was listed. The previous one sold for $5250 - that one was chocolate brown and also gorgeous!

Ah well - if you read this and agree - send 'em to me and let's sell 'em! Ha Ha
