LOW COMPLIANCE!

Eek, Eek and Eek AGAIN!
You know, I love eBay - I do believe it's a fabulous worldwide marketplace. I work very hard at eBay and I am so lucky to receive the best things from my women to sell - I am a lucky lady - perhaps I should change my use name to LUCKYLADY! No, no, I'm not going to do that - I'll stick with ilovemygirls3 - my fabulous daughters and my wonderful Beanie of blessed memory. Oh, I'm getting mushy, when in fact, I'm just so damn MAD!

Hubby didn't do his homework, obviously he has not read my blog! He told me two weeks ago that he wanted to buy these Tommy Bahama jeans that he found on eBay. Assuming that he did the work required before buying anything - he gave me the number and I bought the item. The homework? Well, he should have checked the seller's feedback - not very good - a lot of Neutrals and a lot of Negatives - definitely a NO NO!

The pants came and they were too small for the already very thin hubby! Now my husband wears a lot of Tommy Bahama and this is the size that he wears. This leads me to believe that these pants are not, in fact, AUTHENTIC Tommy Bahama. China is unfortunately making everything in their factories and putting labels in them. Frankly though, I didn't want to go there with the seller - perhaps they're just SECONDS! OK - that is really not the issue.

The issue is that the seller said that he will happily take them back and will be charging me a 15% RESTOCKING FEE! OMG - this is the craziest thing ever. A $75 pair of jeans and he is going to take $15 for putting them on the shelf. Perhaps if it were a dishwasher!

I have been selling on ebay for 9 years now and happily take any returns from my customers. Please read my feedback and you will see how hard I work to please my buyers - and frankly, I do it happily.

I emailed this seller and explained all of this to him - that I felt that the 15% restocking was crazy and that unfortunately if he deducted it, my feedback would have to reflect my feelings.

Years and years ago I bought a CHANEL bag at a fabulous price - $355. I knew that it was a great deal (that's what ebay is all about - the opportunity to get a GREAT DEAL). 10 days - two weeks went by and the bag did not come. I emailed the seller and asked him where my purchase was - "try getting back your money from PAYPAL". Luckily I did get my money back but in my naiveté I left him NEGATIVE feedback. After all, he did NOT send the bag AND didn't want to give me my money back. The reason I say - naively leaving him NEGATIVE - is because ebay tells us (well, sellers can no longer leave NEGATIVE/NEUTRAL, but you could then) to be HONEST. So, what happened? He left me NEGATIVE feedback saying that he told me he didn't have the bag! I fought with ebay for one full year, but they would not remove it. In my 9 years of selling that is the ONLY NEGATIVE I have ever received.

So, here we go again - I left this seller a NEUTRAL (I would not leave a NEGATIVE for another seller) saying that I felt the 15% restocking was ridiculous! Later that day I received an email from ebay telling me that my feedback was REMOVED and that I (me!) violated their policy by trying to EXTORT the seller!

Did I see RED? Every color under the sun! I was beyond upset! The two times I try to HONESTLY rate my seller, I am the one ebay comes after. By the by - that seller who sold me the CHANEL bag was removed years ago from ebay for dishonest practices.

I called ebay and spoke with someone who 100% agreed with me and told me that my feedback would be restored. I had to call two more times, but did manage to get the feedback restored. All 3 members of eBay's support team agreed that I was 100% right and that in no way did I try to EXTORT anything! The next day the feedback was restored.

When I woke up this morning - it was REMOVED again!
I sat by my telephone waiting for the clock to strike 5AM Pacific time and called and spoke with FRANKIE! We talked for a long time and AGAIN - he totally agreed that I was correct and that in no way was I EXTORTING (I even hate the word) anyone. He said that he is going to take it to the highest up TRUST & SECURITY to get it restored.

What do you think?
I do love eBay but I believe that as a buyer I should be treated the same way I treat my buyers.
