One more thing.....

And one more thing......
the Pink Prada shoes finally arrived in Canada and the buyer was very pleased (they were quite beautiful) and the sweater did arrive in France. The shoes took two months to be returned to me but arrived in Canada three days later after they were sent out again - the sweater took two months to arrive in France and the buyer happily returned my $200 through PayPal.

The third person who did not receive her item was refunded her money. I NEVER heard from her one way or the other. She never thanked me for the
$200 refund but one thing I know - I know that the item must have been received by her and that I'm just out the money. She has terrible feedback and shouldn't be on ebay.

You win some, you lose some -

BUT I now ship ONLY Global Express - affordable compared to UPS and Fed Ex, fast, insurable and trackable. Some people have balked about the cost - one person actually didn't pay me at all and I had to file a Non-Paying Strike against them - but everyone else seems satisfied. They like that the item is received so quickly and that I refund any excess (if there is any) money from what they pay me. I calculate the postage through USPS, they pay that amount and if in the end it costs less, I refund the difference.

So things are coming together. In the end only one person supposedly did not receive their item (and I don't believe her) - the others are happy and it is something that won't happen again.

Sorry.......

Sorry that it's been so long - I had been in New York City for two weeks doing the buying for the store - always such fun but also exhausting. When I returned home I became so busy getting back on track with ebay that I just didn't have the energy to blog.

I'm back and lots of things have and have NOT happened. I have NOT received the Nintendo DS and I have NOT received any credit yet from PayPal. This liar and now "No Longer Registered" ebayer gave PayPal tracking numbers for an item and a shipment that does not exist. I have written to PayPal and so far all I have gotten from them is "We understand your frustration in this matter......but please have patience as we investigate this matter" or something along those lines.

I have to wonder what there is to investigate. I'm sure if they tried to track his phony tracking numbers they would see that nothing has been shipped. Why is this person "No Longer a Registered User" on ebay - there has to be a reason. AND WHY OH WHY would this person send me that ridiculous email about FALLING OFF A HORSE! Obviously he landed on his head and knocked out his senses!

My sister-in-law suggested that I am very naive when I ask why people do these things. Perhaps she is right - but really it's not as if I don't understand that there are thieves and losers out there - obviously so many - but really I truly don't understand why people want to waste their time doing these types of things. The Nintendo was about $150 - how many people can he possibly cheat? How much money can he actually make doing this? After all, he's no longer a registered user - did he cheat people out of $500, $1000? That's really not very much, it seems to me, for all of the effort required.

From his feedback he did sell many people good items and they were very satisfied. It looks like he did return the money to the boy who saved his Christmas money (oh, he does have a heart after all) - but me - well, he just got pleasure, I guess, from emailing me his ridiculous "falling off the horse" story.

Hopefully PayPal will finish their mighty investigation of this "matter" and I will get my money back. You know I will let you know one way or the other. For my sake - I hope to get my money back, if for no other reason, then to restore my faith in the EBAY/PAYPAL system.

But I guess I really am naive - I really don't understand why a person would do this.

Thanks Matty!

My son-in-law forwarded this article to me the other day ebay scams
Unfortunately I agree with so much of it. I have received all of these emails one time or another. I always forward them onto spoof@ebay but know that they can't possibly really be doing that much to prevent this - even if they did - there would be two new ones replacing the previous ones. Don't we wonder why these clever people don't use their brains for something LEGAL?

I don't think that we can be surprised at things like this happening. Look at the world that we live in - look at the things human beings are capable of doing - taking off another person's head! Beating children to death - kidnapping small children - bombing innocent people - and we're surprised that people are scamming ebay? It's all part of the picture, I'm afraid.

My nephew's PAYPAL account was hacked into last week - what a damn pain! Such a shame that people want to ruin the GOOD THINGS! Ebay is such fun and people enjoy it - but I'll keep plugging along as I hope all of the other honest ebayers will. Not to let these pathetic people win! What a shame that would be. My ebay account has been hacked into three times. Perhaps you've read about it in previous blogs. I guess we have to keep changing our passwords regularly - be VERY VERY careful of not getting ourselves caught by these scammers and keep up our good and honest work.

BE CAREFUL - don't open any email that has a link for you to go to PAYPAL or EBAY - only go to those sites by typing in the address with your provider......Don't let the creeps win!

OH - by the way - I don't believe JIMMY fell of his horse
Even though I kept telling him to credit my account - he didn't
I still haven't received the NINENDO (that I no longer want)
Ahhhhhhh!
We'll see what happens!

Regarding the first Nintendo DS - the one that I never received.....

everything back up. please try and remember we were 100%. sorry again and we will try and make
it up to you in some way.

What do you think? True? Not true?

What's so great about it all!

Well, I did receive the SECOND Nintendo DS that I bought. Luckily from someone honest this time. Started playing BRAIN AGE and feeling brighter already! Hopefully I will get my money back through PAYPAL (at least) for the first one! We'll see! A claim takes about two months - it will be interesting to see what happens. By that time - my brain will be so alert and hopefully my BRAIN AGE will go down from 80! It's fun though and interesting.

I'm sending off the Pink Prada shoes today. They came back to me yesterday - marked UNCLAIMED! My sweet postmaster called me first thing in the morning to tell me they were there. They will take their second trip to CANADA today. This time I hope that they will get where they are going.

But to get to what I'm writing about today......

I have a few pairs of these wonderful RUNDHOLZ (from Germany) shoes listed. They are left from the store - we're closed for the next two months and I have lots of great things still left to list. Rundholz is a great company - we do so well with their clothing, shoes and boots. The women love the comfort and design of their clothing.

Anyway - I have sizes 8 and 10 of these great shoes listed and someone really wanted them - but she wears a size 9! I understand - you can get addicted to great and interesting design. Well, this gal was so intent on getting these shoes that she thought that perhaps she would just buy the size 10! But I know that they would be tooo big for her - I wear the same size and the 9 is perfect - the 10 would be huge.

I have so much in my closet - shoes, bags, clothes - that I offered up my size 9's! She was so happy and bid on them immediately.

This is it - this is what is so fun about eBay. How would this gal and I (is it I or me? - something my brother-in-law is always correcting) ever find each other without eBay? How would my wonderful shoes (not to worry they are in fabulous condition - I didn't wear them all that much - they are like new) have a chance to wind up in her closet?

It's like the time my CHANEL bowling bag (that was just not for me) wound up in Japan with someone who was so excited to get it. Sometimes it's so hard to send something of my own to someone - even though I don't use it - I love it so much - but I have decided that it's a shame to have such lovely things languishing on the shelf - they must be used and loved. I sent off a fabulous woven little handbag two weeks ago - I actually wished it a good trip. But now it's in better hands - someone who will love it and use it and hopefully wear it out! We all have wonderful things in our closets that are just not getting used - they should be moved on. It's interesting how the things that we might not use anymore - someone else will love and adore and for them it will be totally new!

Well, I enjoyed these shoes and would have continued to wear them, but I know that this gal will love them EVEN MORE and that makes me happy!

One down - Two to go!

Yes, I just received a telephone call from Rob - my postmaster. He's so nice and has such patience with me! I do appreciate him so much. That's what is nice about living in a small town - I don't think I would have gotten a phone call from anyone in the New York City post office!

The first package has turned up - it has been returned from Canada and is marked UNCLAIMED. Strange - did this person ever get notified? Did she have one of those little piece of papers telling her that there was something for her at the post office? Perhaps not, perhaps this box just lingered since the middle of December at the post office in Ontario, Canada waiting to be retrieved.

In any event - I'm feeling better - only two more to go and under these circumstances I have a good month to wait to see if they will either appear there or here! or at all!

I wonder if she still wants them. I don't know if I even want to send them out to Canada again - you get a little nervous. Although I have shipped something off to Sweden the other day, Canada yesterday and I have another for Canada today. I'm sending them via EMS GLOBAL EXPRESS and hope that they will get where they are going.

Exhausting!
